As an arranger who uses Arrange Me as one of my distribution channels, I had originally opted in to their “extended distribution” network, which promised quarterly payments of subscription views through MuseScore Pro and Sheet Music Direct Pass. Initially, this worked well, bringing in extra money, though the subscription view option has seen download sales plummet.
However, 2025 quarter 2 payments didn’t turn up for Muse Score, and then Sheet Music Direct subscription views weren’t paid out in quarter 3… and now that quarter 4 payments have likewise failed to materialise, along with the previous quarters which are still owed, I’ve pulled all my arrangements from their service.
I endeavour to price my arrangements as fairly as possible, so it’s incredibly disappointing when one of the biggest music publishers around is stiffing all its arrangers the measly 3c per view we’d initially been receiving for our arrangements…
