Thumbing through a book I’d not opened in a few years, I found I’d started scribbling some arrangement ideas on some of the pieces. Annie’s song was one of them, and is a lovely option to play at an one of the free organ concerts we put on each month in Nedlands. I’ve now engraved it, changed up some of the chord and accompaniment choices, added phrasing and lyrics, and gone through 4 iterations of playing through and tweaking it to arrive at a simple single page arrangement that is rather sweet in its simplicity.
